![]() And Phantom Screens are professionally installed. These retractable screens doors fit most standard and oversized doors. They also preserve the look of your doorway and fill all types of doors in function, color, and style. They are screen doors that remain out of sight when not in use so your view is never blocked. In a nutshell, Phantom Screens are retractable screens doors. The response was unanimous: Phantom Screens. The screen door on it needed to be replaced, so I asked if anyone had suggestions for something that would offer a cleaner look. I already had a Dutch door in my family room. I realized that Phantom Screens were what I wanted after sharing an Instagram Story around this time last year. I wanted screen doors that would function well but not interfere with my views or change the clean look of the new doors. However, given that both are unique in style, the screen door needed to be just as unique. I wanted to add a screen door to each of those doors. ![]() Thank you to Phantom Screens for providing me with the doors and installation for this project. ![]() I added a Dutch door in the kitchen and replaced the French doors in the dining room. Today, I want to tell you more about the wonderful Phantom Screens (a retractable screen door) I added to my exterior doors.Īs you saw in my kitchen remodel reveal post, I updated two exterior doors as part of the project. Expert dealers like Working Space make these retractable screen projects a success with their expertise to seamlessly blend screens into home spaces.Slowly but surely, I’ve been posting about the details of all the changes and updates from my recent kitchen makeover. The housings for the PanoramaLite™ measure less than 3” and fit perfectly right about her doorway the local dealer, Working Space, measured above the doors before ordering, and then Stoett built the screen to perfectly fit the door width. Linen, a standard Stoett color was chosen to match her woodwork on the inside of the back patio room. This works perfectly for her outdoor living space, giving both full view for evening lounging and functional doors for daytime traffic. The PanoramaLite™ houses the screen above the two doors and rolls right down the installed tracks, resting on the floor below- just one screen covering for each set of French doors. ![]() Since she only needed one set of doors (out of the three) to accommodate traffic and grandchildren rushing out to the pool and backyard, she thought it would be nice to have the other two doorways unhindered with the PanoramaLite™screen rolling from the top down. While retractable door screens do not require a frame, they do have a pull bar that guides the screen out of the housing which would be in the center of her view if she chose that option. If two StowAway™ door screens were chosen for each set of French doors, two screens would meet in the center of the doorway. The room has three sets of French doorways and this homeowner had the option of two StowAway™ door screens to retract on each side of the French doorway or she could choose a horizontally retracting screen, rolling from above the doorway down to the floor. This homeowner wanted to utilize that room and blur indoor/outdoor environments with screens. This back patio room overlooking the placid pool was the perfect place to relax in the evenings away from the bugs without compromising breeze, sounds, or view. ![]()
